They crawl down your arm, Peek out of the cage...
They turn their bedding upside down, Out of their bickering and rage
They get up in the dark, They give you the LOOK!
Gazing through those hypnotic eyes, they create a complete spook!
They mutilate your ear phones and nibble them away with joy!
They pee all over your favourite things, "IT'S MINE" the say OH BOY!!
Yet you love them so much...more with each passing day!
You love it when they share your plate and lick your ice-cream away!
Though they terrorize your mom and make polka dots in your sheet..
you love their lil ears and whiskers and their lovely pink feet!
Tiny black balls of poop, crumbs on the floor, you see?
You know the air smells funny...as u look at some rat pee!!
You give them kisses and scratches and all the love you can show!
One day you become their pets! And that will happen before you know!
They play just like dogs and they sleep like royal cats!
As cheerful as canaries! But rats will be rats!!
